Join the $100 Film Festival and Sled Island Film for an expanded version of the $100 Film Festival’s Film/ Music Explosion! This is an annual event where we pair musicians and filmmakers to create a short film on Super 8 based on music by the bands. Each evening of the festival premieres the film along with a live soundtrack by the musical group.
On Monday June 28, we will showcase an exclusive program of Film/ Music Explosion! Featuring music by BLIST and Dragon Fli Empire, five filmmakers will showcase their Super 8 skills. Films by Luke Black, Duncan Kenworthy, Alex Mitchell, James Reckseidler and Jamie Wensley.

I know you’ve probably been chomping at the bit for some bonus content revealing the behind the scenes of Pretty Okay Pictures. Well, here it is!
These are the original designs by the great Daniel J Kirk which were interpreted by Bobby Vanonen into body art for our film CGY.
Dickfore will be screening at Sled Island Film on June 27th at 9:30pm in the Plaza Theatre as part of the Best of Calgary Filmmakers Challenge showcase.
