			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2oth annual $100 Film Festival was over the weekend and, as always, it was extremely inspiring.<br />
I&#8217;ve scoured the internet to find a few of the films that played at the festival that specifically stood out for me.<br />
Of course, not everything is online so this is by no means a definitively list.</p>
<p>Before I start the show, I just want to congratulate $100 Film Festival programmer Melanie Wilmink on her fantastic final festival as she leaves the organization to explore new worlds.<br />
For my money, she raised the calibre of the festival every year she ran it and, I hope, one day she&#8217;ll program another festival.</p>

Everyone will be able to get your first look at the short film during the <a href="http://boomtownfestival.com/" target="_blank">Boomtown Film &amp; Music Festival</a> in Beaumont, Texas.<br />
<em>Beef Barley Brothers</em> will screen on <a href="http://cineddiction.com/boomtownfestival/2012/02/beef-barley-brothers/" target="_blank">Feb 24th at 7pm</a> in the <a href="http://dept.lamar.edu/cofac/deptart/dishman.asp" target="_blank">Dishman Art Museum</a> and again on <a href="http://cineddiction.com/boomtownfestival/2012/02/beef-barley-brothers/" target="_blank">Feb 25th at 3pm</a>.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For whatever reason, I was directed to the Vimeo account of one <a title="Scott Fitzpatrick's Vimeo" href="http://vimeo.com/user4688378">Scott Fitzpatrick</a> and while while browsing his films I realized I&#8217;d already seen one at last year&#8217;s <a title="Screening super 8 and 16 mm exclusively, The #100 Film Festival" href="http://100dollarfilmfestival.org">$100 Film Festival</a>.</p>
<p>The film is called <a title="Down is this way" href="http://vimeo.com/15583517">Down</a> and is a great super 8 one take film that friend&#8217;s of mine and I have been talking about since we saw it because the transition technique is so fun and well accomplished.</p>
