Beef Barley Brothers has been selected to screen in the Sunscreen Film Festival!

You can check it out at the Muvico Baywalk 20 and IMAX theatre in St. Petersburg, Florida on Friday April 20th at 3:30pm in the Comedic Shorts block.

Big thanks to the guys at the Sunshine Film Festival for the opportunity to have Beef Barley Brothers as a part of the festival!

Some Highlights From The 20th $100 Film Festival

The 2oth annual $100 Film Festival was over the weekend and, as always, it was extremely inspiring.
I’ve scoured the internet to find a few of the films that played at the festival that specifically stood out for me.
Of course, not everything is online so this is by no means a definitively list.

Before I start the show, I just want to congratulate $100 Film Festival programmer Melanie Wilmink on her fantastic final festival as she leaves the organization to explore new worlds.
For my money, she raised the calibre of the festival every year she ran it and, I hope, one day she’ll program another festival.

The newly found copy of the silent comedy film “The Battle of Karencebes!” The almost true story of the events of 1788, one of the greatest military blunders in recorded history! Beef Barley Brothers World Premiere – Boomtown Film & Music Festival

The world premiere of Beef Barley Brothers has been announced!
Everyone will be able to get your first look at the short film during the Boomtown Film & Music Festival in Beaumont, Texas.
Beef Barley Brothers will screen on Feb 24th at 7pm in the Dishman Art Museum and again on Feb 25th at 3pm.

Thanks to everyone at the Boomtown Film & Music Festival for the opportunity to be a part of the festival!
I regret that I can`t attend but it looks like it is going to be an awesome festival and I hope that everyone who can attend does (and let me know how the screening goes)!

James Reckseidler’s Defensive Aggressive

The National Screen Institute is hosting screenings of James Reckseidler‘s scorned women revenge short Defensive Aggressive as part of it’s NSI Online Short Film Festival.

I’m not entirely sure how long the film will be up for so check it out while you have the chance.

Back in February, I posted a short film by a filmmaker in town named Kurt Harder that I really liked.

Well, over the summer, dude went out and made a feature film!

The film is Cody Fitz and the trailer that they put out for it looks pretty damn slick.

For whatever reason, I was directed to the Vimeo account of one Scott Fitzpatrick and while while browsing his films I realized I’d already seen one at last year’s $100 Film Festival.

The film is called Down and is a great super 8 one take film that friend’s of mine and I have been talking about since we saw it because the transition technique is so fun and well accomplished.
